Craft Time

A grandmother of one of my students brought in paint your own pottery ornaments for the kids to decorate. She had two extra and sent them home for Jacob. He had a fun time painting, but seemed to like the blow drying part just as much. 

A little beyblade competition as well. You can tell from the smile who is winning. 

A Fortress and a Letter to Santa

Jacob wanted to build a fortress. Somehow we both fit inside. 

Typing a letter to Santa. He did it all himself. He looked at certain words and then typed his wish list. Jacob types like his Bumpa! 

He then got on his village to make snowflakes. 

I Work Out....

Jacob decided he wants big muscles. Today he did a workout video with his dad. I was rather impressed. When he finished, he came up to me with his arms flexed and said, "My muscle is starting to pop out."

He also had a gift for me today when I picked him up from school. He got it out of the treasure box just for me. He's setting the bar high.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

We had our first pumpkin carving contest. The teams were drawn out of a hat. Everyone had a great time. 

The reading of the votes. The trophy was made out of a plunger, pumpkins, and a skull topper.

A Brave Boy

A mom is always proud of their son, but Jacob has amazed me this week. He was so brave before and after his surgery. It brought me to tears at time. 

Yesterday was the first day without any medication. He spent the evening with his cousins and they have been so good about playing gentle. Jacob will return to school on Monday. We do have instructions to keep him from P.E. and recess activities. We have our follow-up appointment Friday. 

His Kindergarten class sent him balloons & a stuffed animal. It made his day.
