Color Me Rad/Draft Day

It's been a busy Saturday. Josh & I did the Color Me Rad run this morning with friends. The cool temperature made it a great day for running. We raced home to shower and then headed to practice and draft day for flag football. They are the Titans and Jacob is #6. He's really loving football. His first game is next Saturday. 

The "Frog Catcher"

If you ever need to catch a frog, Jacob is your man. A friend of ours had a frog in their car & Jake came to the rescue. He earned a dollar. 

Rib Fest

The neighbors had "Rib Fest" today. The men prepared ribs and we voted for the best sauce and best ribs overall. The Welches did not leave as winners, but everyone had a great time. Jacob fell asleep the moment his head hit the pillow. We plan to spend Labor Day swimming and grilling out in Greenfield.

 

Go Army

Jacob and I ventured home this weekend. The Relay For Life was going on. Jacob took a liking to climbing on the tank at Peterson Park. This, of course, spurred Bumpa to tell, "Jacob when I was your age I climbed on that tank..."

Flag Football

Putting 10 belts on kids was an adventure. Jacob is excited to have Dad as his coach again. They're playing Sharks and Minnows. 

A Little Indian

This week they are working on the letters I and E in class. His teacher says he's doing well. We still struggle a bit with making good choices....like not turning off the lights in the bathroom to be funny. 

I had extra salt dough from a school project. I thought it would be fun to let Jacob play with it. Not so much. A huge mess was made, but he had fun.

Our Old Stomping Grounds....

We ventured back to our favorite place to feed the fish. Jacob figured out that if he puts his fingers in the water the baby fish come and nibble his fingers. We even saw the monster catfish.
